  PLEASE READ THESE OFFICIAL RULES CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. BY ENTERING (OR OTHERWISE PARTICIPATING) IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH CREATE A CONTRACT.   The Lumio® Mini Classroom Makeover Sweepstakes (the "Contest") is sponsored by SMART Technologies ULC, Suite 600, 214 – 11 Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta T2R 0K1 ("Sponsor"). The Contest is subject to these official terms and conditions (“Official Rules”) and to all applicable federal, state and local laws. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received from eligible participants (the “Entrant” or “You”). Entrants who enter into the Contest agree to be bound by the Official Rules.

   

  By participating in the Contest, you fully and unconditionally agree to be bound to and accept these Official Rules and any additional terms and conditions specific to the Contest communicated by Sponsor.

   

  The Contest is open only to individuals who:

   

  1. Have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry;
  2. Are legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and the United States of America (excluding New York, Florida, and any jurisdiction prohibited by law); and
  3. Maintain an active Lumio account.

   

  This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the eligibility of participants apply. This Contest is only open to natural persons and the following are ineligible: corporations, businesses, non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, or other entities.

   

  Employees, contractors, representatives, or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of the Sponsor, its dealerships, resellers, advertising/Contest agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) are not eligible to participate.

   

  The Contest begins on September 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET and ends on September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period"). Sponsor's computer shall be the official timekeeping device for all matters related to this Contest.

   

  NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

  A purchase will not improve an entrant's chances of winning.

   

  Upon completing a Qualifying Action* for the first time during the Contest Period, an eligible participant will receive an email notification advising that they have satisfied the minimum participation threshold for the Contest. Receipt of such notification does not constitute entry into the Contest. To be entered, the participant must follow the instructions in the email and affirmatively opt in to the Contest by (i) confirming their desire to participate, (ii) acknowledging and agreeing to these Official Rules, (iii) confirming their eligibility, and (iv) providing any other required consents. A participant will not be deemed entered into the Contest, and will not be eligible to win a Prize, unless and until the opt-in process is successfully completed.

   

  “Qualifying Action” means any eligible action designated by Sponsor during the Contest Period that earns an entry opportunity in the Contest, including, without limitation, using Lumio software to do the following:

   

  1. Creating a new lesson;
  2. Importing a lesson;
  3. Using AI Assist (enhancement);
  4. Using AI Assist (lesson generation);
  5. Delivering a lesson;
  6. Sharing an assignment;
  7. Add content via Add Page menu;
  8. Convert page to activity;
  9. Add lesson from Lumio Library; and
  10. Control Lumio from your phone or tablet.

   

  Only qualifying activities completed after successful completion of the opt-in process will generate entries.

   

  Each qualifying activity may generate one (1) entry per day, subject to a maximum of five (5) entries per day. Sponsor's systems shall determine whether an activity qualifies for an entry. Sponsor reserves the right to reject activities that are fraudulent, artificially generated, automated, duplicated, manipulated, or otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of the Contest.

   

  Streak Bonuses

  Additional bonus entries may be awarded for qualifying activity streaks, as described on the Contest landing page. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility for any bonus entries awarded.

   

  Four (4) weekly prize drawings will be conducted in connection with the Contest (each, a “Weekly Drawing”). Each Weekly Drawing will take place on or about the Thursday following the close of its corresponding weekly draw period and, for the final weekly draw period, the corresponding Weekly Drawing may occur after the end of the Contest Period.

   

  In each Weekly Drawing, three (3) prizes will be awarded as follows:

  • First Prize (1): One (1) SMART Board Mini, model SIP-727-AM60, with an approximate retail value (“ARV”) of USD $2,725.
  • Second Prize (1): One (1) SMART SoundLift accessory (USD $599) OR USD $300 gift card.
  • Third Prize (1): One (1) SMART Multistylus (USD $349) OR USD $150 gift card.

   

  A total of four (4) First Prizes, four (4) Second Prizes, and four (4) Third Prizes will be awarded throughout the Contest. The total ARV of all prizes available to be won is USD$14,692. Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No substitution of a prize is permitted except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

   

  Where a Prize is offered as a choice between a product and a gift card (the Second Prize and Third Prize), the winner may elect to receive either the applicable product or the applicable gift card, subject to Sponsor’s verification and fulfillment requirements. The product option may require a compatible SMART Board model, and the gift card option is offered as an alternative for winners who do not have compatible hardware or who otherwise prefer the gift card.

   

  Weekly winners will be selected by random draw from eligible entries accumulated during the applicable weekly draw period.

   

  Draws will be conducted by Sponsor or its designated representative. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

   

  Weekly Draw Periods

  For the purposes of the weekly draws, the Contest Period will be divided into four (4) weekly draw periods as follows:

  • Week 1: September 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET;
  • Week 2: September 10, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET;
  • Week 3: September 17, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET; and
  • Week 4: September 24, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

   

  Entries reset after each Weekly Drawing (excluding bonus entries earned by streak bonuses). Eligible entries (including any bonus entries) earned during a weekly draw period will be included only in the Weekly Drawing for that period; they do not accumulate and will not carry forward to any subsequent weekly draw period. A new entry count begins for each weekly draw period. Winners selected in one weekly draw remain eligible to participate in subsequent weekly draws unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law or expressly stated in these Official Rules.

   

  Potential winners will be contacted using the email address associated with their Lumio account.

   

  Potential winners may be required to complete a Prize Claim Form within five (5) business days of notification.

   

  Failure to respond, complete the claim process, provide requested documentation, or comply with these Official Rules may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.

   

  Before being declared the confirmed Prize winner, the selected Entrant will be required to correctly answer a skill-testing question (where required by law), supply proof of age and residency by providing a photocopy of one (1) piece of government issued photo identification and sign and return within five (5) business days of notification the Sponsor's declaration and release form which (among other things) (i) confirms compliance with these Official Rules; (ii) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize, as awarded; (iii) releases the Sponsor and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, his/her participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and (iv) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of his/her name, address, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet.

   

  If the selected Entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; (b) fails to return the properly executed Contest documents within the specified time; and/or (c) cannot accept the Prize for any reason; then he/she will be disqualified (and will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to award the prize to a different Entrant (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such new selected Entrant).

   

  If selected Entrant cannot be contacted in the first two (2) attempts, fails to sign and return the Winner’s Documents within the required time period, or if any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if Potential Winner rejects its Prize, or in the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules and requirements, such Prize will be forfeited, and an alternate Potential Winner may be selected from all remaining eligible Entries, if time permits. Upon any Prize forfeiture, Sponsor will give no compensation.

   

  Upon the selected Entrant’s completion and Sponsor’s acceptance of the Winner’s Documents, Sponsor will fulfill each Prize according to its type: (a) any gift card Prize will be delivered electronically to the email address associated with the winner’s Lumio account within seven (7) days of Sponsor’s validation of a complete and valid claim; and (b) any hardware Prize (including the SMART Board Mini and any SMART accessory awarded as a Prize) will be shipped only after Sponsor verifies the winner’s shipping address, within a delivery window determined by Sponsor following such verification. Sponsor will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver all Prizes promptly but does not guarantee delivery by any specific date.

   

  The Sponsor is not responsible for any undelivered emails, messages or any other communications, including but not limited to those that are not received because of winner’s privacy or spam filter settings that may divert any email, message or other Contest related email to a spam or junk folder.

   

  Entrants agree to permit any of the Sponsor to contact them concerning the Contest. Winner agrees to permit the Sponsor to publicize, unless not permitted by applicable law, winner’s names.

   

  By entering, entrants consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of their personal information for purposes of administering the Contest.

   

  Personal information shall be processed in accordance with Sponsor's Privacy Policy.

  Contest communications will be limited to Contest administration and prize fulfillment unless separate marketing consent has been provided.

   

  Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Contest if fraud, technical failures, security issues, legal requirements, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper operation of the Contest.

   

  Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, attempts to circumvent daily entry limits, creates multiple accounts, employs automated systems, or otherwise acts contrary to the spirit of the Contest.

   

  By entering the Contest, the Entrant agrees to accept and abide by these Official Rules and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this Contest, rule interpretation, or award of the prize shall be submitted to Sponsor, whose decision shall be binding and final.

   

  By participating, the Entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, distributors, and other vendor agencies, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, service agencies, independent contractors, and the officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives of any of the above organizations from any injury, loss, or damage to person, including death, or property due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly, to the acceptance of the Prize, participation in any Contest-related activity, or participation in the Contest.

   

  Entrant further acknowledges that they may be waiving rights with respect to claims that are at this time unknown or unsuspected, and, to the extent relevant to them, in accordance with such waiver.

   

  The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to modify, cancel, or suspend this Contest, or to amend the Official Rules at any time, without prior individual notice.

  Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who: (i) tampers or attempts to tamper with the operation of the Contest, including the Entry process or the Sponsor’s website; (ii) violates the Official Rules; or (iii) acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

   

  The Prizes are awarded “as is” without any express or implied warranty or guarantee from Sponsor, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Only the Prizes described herein are available to be awarded; in no event will the Sponsor be responsible for awarding more or different prizes than stated herein. Prizes cannot be assigned, transferred, or substituted, except by Sponsor who may, at its sole discretion, substitute a Prize or any part thereof with a prize of equal or greater value. If applicable, Prizes are not redeemable for cash; any difference between the actual value and ARV of a Prize will not be awarded as cash, or otherwise unless otherwise stated.

   

  This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), YouTube, Google or any other social media or similar platform where this Contest may be promoted, advertised or otherwise used to disseminate information relating to the Contest. You understand that all information is being provided to Sponsor and not to Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), YouTube, Google or any other social media where this Contest may be promoted, advertised or otherwise used to disseminate information relating to the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for practices, terms or actions taken by any of these or other social media and web services sites. You understand that you are required to comply with terms and conditions of those social media platforms.

   

  The Sponsor shall not be liable to Entrants, the winner or any other person or entity for failure to execute the Contest, supply the Prizes or any part thereof or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Contest is severely undermined by reason of any act of God, any action, regulation, order or request by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action, regulation, order or request proves to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist act, cyber-attack, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, epidemics, pandemics, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, cancellation or delay of any event, or any similar or dissimilar event beyond their reasonable control. In connection with the foregoing, Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Contest without further obligation.

   

  EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, AND EXCLUSIVELY BY STATE OR FEDERAL COURTS SITUATED IN DELAWARE IN THE CASE OF ENTRANTS RESIDENT IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND CALGARY, ALBERTA IN THE CASE OF ENTRANTS RESIDENT IN CANADA (2) THE LAWS OF DELAWARE OR ALBERTA, WHICHEVER IS APPLICABLE, WITHOUT REFERENCE TO CONFLICT OF LAW RULES, GOVERNS THE SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL ASPECTS RELATED THERETO, (3) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, BUT IN NO EVENT ATTORNEYS’ FEES, (4) NO PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOST PROFITS, MAY BE AWARDED (COLLECTIVELY, “SPECIAL DAMAGES”), AND (5) ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM SPECIAL DAMAGES AND ALL RIGHTS TO SUCH DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR INCREASED.

   

  The invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall in no way affect the validity, legality, or enforceability of any other provision hereof. Any invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision shall be deemed severed from these Official Rules and the balance of these Official Rules shall be construed and enforced as if these Official Rules did not contain such invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision.

   

  To obtain a list of the winners, send an email to [info@smarttech.com] within thirty (30) days of the end of the Contest Period. The email should contain the following phrase in the “subject” field: “Lumio Mini Classroom Makeover Sweepstakes”.

   

  In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to: The Contest entry form, website, point of sale, television, print or online advertising; the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
