The SMART Exemplary Schools Program will provide professional development, training and recognition to help your school excel with education technology. As part of this program, your school will work with SMART to develop education technology best practices that support learning and improve outcomes.

Benefits of becoming a SMART Exemplary School

Applications and nominations for this program are open year round. Once an application is submitted, your school’s eligibility will be evaluated, and may include a visit to your school.

Once accepted, your school will have access to special benefits including training and professional development, special invitations and recognition opportunities, and connections with our growing global community.

Training and Professional Development

Free training for school lead, 2 teachers and 1 IT/Technical support person per year
Early access and trials for new products and services from SMART

Community

Access and ability to contribute to webinars for sharing teaching practices, tips and tricks with other SMART Exemplary Schools
Access and ability to contribute to the SMART Education Communities Newsletter
Invitation to regional SMART events and a content creation event for the SMART Exemplary Schools Program

Recognition

A recognition plaque acknowledging your designation as a SMART Exemplary School
Access to a SMART Exemplary Schools Program logo to use on your website, documentation etc.
Opportunities to be recognized both locally and globally through SMART collateral and activities such as case studies, blogs, projects and events

What are the requirements to become a SMART Exemplary School?

As SMART Exemplary School, you would demonstrate effective, innovative and best practices in the use of SMART solutions to enhance teaching and learning, and be open to sharing your practices with the wider education community, both locally and globally. Specifically, your school would commit to the following:

Senior leadership support for becoming a SMART Exemplary School
Identify a SMART Exemplary School lead at your school
Nominate at least 1 teacher for the SMART Exemplary Educator (SEE) Program each year
Nominate 2 teachers and 1 IT/Technology person to undertake SMART training
Ensure that your school always has the most up-to-date version of SMART Learning Suite
Facilitate and host SMART customer visits to your school
Support SMART activities such as blogs, case studies, white papers, videos and conference support
Develop innovative practices for using SMART solutions to enhance teaching and learning
