Collaborative Workspaces are moving to SMART Learning Suite Online

Google has announced the end of support for the web infrastructure upon which SMART amp is built. As of December 11, 2018, users will no longer be able to log in to SMART amp. To continue to enable student collaboration in the classroom, all SMART amp customers will need to transition to SMART Learning Suite Online by the end of the year. 

SMART Learning Suite Online is included in customers’ SMART Learning Suite subscription. There is no additional cost for customers who transition from SMART amp to SMART Learning Suite Online.

Don't worry about losing content. Your SMART amp workspaces are saved in Google Drive and in the fall will open in SMART Learning Suite Online as the new collaborative Workspace Activity.

Benefits of the new collaborative Workspace Activity include:

  • Simplified lesson flow - collaborative workspaces are integrated within lessons
  • Consolidation of teacher log-ins and lesson data
  • Collaboration functionality available to both Google and Microsoft customers
  • Utilize existing SMART Notebook content as well as PowerPoint and PDF
  • Facilitates the same collaborative pedagogy as SMART amp
